Motivation
By exploiting the cross (or induced) phase modulation (XPM) in addition to self-phase modulation (SPM) one can expect more spectral broadening through super-continuum generation. The spectral broadening by SPM develops continuously from the previous spectral component, thus the second harmonic spectrum can be a good start point to obtain broader supercontinuum. The two color supercontinuum output can be applied to two color HHG experiment.
